About
FrameCleaner removes watermarks and objects from photos and video you made, and checks files and sites for signs of AI generation. The work happens in your browser, so your files stay on your device.

Who runs it
FrameCleaner (FrameCleaner LLC) operates this site from 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY, USA. FrameCleaner LLC is registered in the State of Wyoming, USA.
How it works
The editing tools run an image-inpainting model, MI-GAN (published at ICCV 2023 under the MIT licence), inside your browser tab through ONNX Runtime. They use your GPU through WebGPU where your browser has it, and fall back to the CPU where it does not. Video is decoded and re-encoded in the same tab with the browser’s own WebCodecs.
The models and runtime download to your browser once and are cached there. Your photos and video are never sent to us. You can confirm that in your browser’s network tab while a tool runs.
The AI website checker is the only exception. A browser cannot read another site’s pages, so that one mode fetches them on our server. The privacy policy explains exactly what that involves.
How it is paid for
Because your device does the work, the free tools cost us almost nothing to run, and they stay free. A one-time Pro licence lifts the free limits on video length and resolution; that work still runs on your device. See pricing.
What it will not do
- Help take watermarks off stock previews or other people’s work. The tools are for files you made or hold a licence to.
- Defeat watermarks carried in the pixels, such as SynthID. The removers fill the visible badge only. The file you download is newly encoded, so it does not keep the original’s metadata, including C2PA Content Credentials; your original is never modified.
- Call a file “made by a human”. A clean result from the AI checkers only means the file makes no AI claim, not that no AI was involved.
The acceptable use policy has the full rules.
