RUNWAY
Runway watermark remover
Take the Runway mark off output you generated on the free plan. The file is processed in this tab, on your own hardware, and never sent anywhere.
Drop an image or a video
JPG · PNG · WEBP · MP4 · MOV — video free up to 10s, 720p
or paste one with Ctrl + V
- No sign-up
- No watermark added to your result
- Files stay on your device
- Video and stills, wherever the mark sits
- Keeps resolution and frame rate
- Free up to 10 seconds at 720p, and 3 images a day
Use this on files you made or hold a licence to. Taking someone else’s credit off their work is not what this is for.
AT A GLANCE
- What it does
- Removes the visible Runway watermark from a video or image you generated on Runway’s free plan. You mark it (on video the tool looks for a still mark itself) and an AI model fills in the pixels underneath.
- Where it runs
- In your browser, on your own device. Your photo or video is never uploaded: the site has no upload endpoint for files.
- Sign-up
- None. No account and no email needed to use it.
- Free
- 3 images a day (the count resets at midnight UTC) at up to 4096 px, and the first 10 seconds of any video at up to 720p. A longer or sharper clip still gets a free 10-second preview, so you see the result before paying. No watermark of ours is added.
- Paid
- $3.99 for a 24-hour pass, or $12 once for Pro, which does not expire. Both lift the limits: unlimited images, video up to 10 minutes and 2160p (4K). One-time payments; there is no subscription and nothing renews.
- Paying
- Card or Apple Pay through a Revolut payment link (no Revolut account needed). Press “I’ve paid” and it switches on in that browser at once; the licence key is emailed so you can use it in another browser. Each payment is checked by hand, usually within a day. Full refund within 30 days.
RUNWAY
About this watermark
The paid plans export without it
Runway’s pricing page lists “No watermarks” among the features of its Standard plan, so the mark is a free-plan feature. If you pay for Standard or above, generate or export the clip again rather than filling a mark you no longer need to have.

Read the terms before you publish
Runway’s terms of use bar removing copyright notices and other proprietary markings “contained on or in the Services”. They do not mention watermarks on generated output either way, so check the current terms, and Runway’s usage policy, before you publish a cleaned clip.

How the tool handles it
On video, a mark that holds still while the scene moves is found on its own: averaged over a few seconds, the moving picture blurs away and the mark stays sharp. Check the box covers all of it with a small margin, and one box covers the whole clip. On a still, draw the box yourself.
What this is for, and what it leaves alone
Visible badges on output you generated yourself, and nothing more. Invisible watermarks such as SynthID live in the pixels and stay there. C2PA and other metadata stay in your original file, which is never modified. When you publish the result, label it as AI-generated: most platforms ask you to, and a clean frame is not a reason to pass AI video off as real footage. The full rules are in our acceptable use policy.
Removing the Runway watermark, step by step
- 01If you are on Standard or above, export the clip again from Runway without the watermark.
- 02Otherwise, download the video or image from Runway.
- 03Drop it into the tool. On video it looks for the still mark and boxes it; on an image, drag a box over the mark.
- 04Run it, compare before and after, then download. Resolution and frame rate are kept.
QUESTIONS
Before you start
Does the free tier cover a whole Runway clip?
The free tier cleans the first 10 seconds of any video at up to 720p, and 3 images a day, with no account. A clip longer or sharper than that still gets a free 10-second preview, so you can judge the result on your own footage first. The whole clip, up to 10 minutes and 4K, is $3.99 for 24 hours or $12 once for Pro. Both are one-time payments.
How do I pay, and how fast does it switch on?
Card or Apple Pay through a Revolut payment link (no Revolut account needed). Press “I’ve paid” and it switches on in that browser at once; the licence key is emailed so you can use it in another browser. Each payment is checked by hand, usually within a day. Full refund within 30 days.
Does upgrading remove the watermark from clips I already made?
We have not found Runway saying that it does. The watermark is part of the exported file, so expect to generate or export again on a paid plan for a clean copy. For clips you keep from the free plan, this tool is the fallback.
Does the mark move?
We have not found Runway documenting where its mark sits or whether it moves, so the tool does not assume. A mark that holds still is the easy case: the tool usually finds it and one box covers every frame. If yours moves, switch on “The mark moves — follow it” and the box is located again on each frame.
