FrameCleaner is a browser-based tool that removes visible watermarks from images and video. The processing runs on your own device. We provide the page, the code and the model that make that possible; we do not process, host or receive your files.

The free tier is offered as it stands and may change. We are not going to pretend it is guaranteed forever, but we also have no interest in taking away something that costs us almost nothing to provide.

You are responsible for having the right to alter whatever you process. Our acceptable use policy sets out what this tool is and is not for, and forms part of these terms.

You agree not to attempt to disrupt the service, to circumvent limits on the free tier, or to use the site in a way that breaks the law where you are.

Watermark removal is a reconstruction, not a recovery. The model invents plausible pixels to fill a gap; it does not restore what was underneath, because that information is gone. Results vary with the image, and marks over faces, fine text or large areas come out poorly. We say so throughout the site rather than in the small print.

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular result will be acceptable to you.

To the fullest extent the law allows, FrameCleaner (FrameCleaner Ltd.) is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of this service, including lost profits or lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months or, where you paid nothing, a nominal sum.

Since your files are processed on your own device and never sent to us, keep your originals. We have no copy to restore.

Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription — there is nothing to cancel and nothing recurring to forget about. It lifts the limits we place on video length and resolution. It does not buy access to our servers, because the processing still happens on your own device exactly as it does on the free tier.

You receive a licence key by email. It is a bearer key: anyone holding it can activate it, so treat it like a password. We record the activation count but do not cap it, because a device limit punishes people who change laptops far more often than it stops sharing.

Refunds. If Pro does not do what this site says it does, write to legal@framecleaner.com within 30 days and we will refund you in full, no explanation required. If you are in the EU or UK you additionally have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days of purchase; because the licence is delivered immediately, that right can be waived at checkout, and where it has not been waived it applies as normal. Our 30-day promise is deliberately wider than the statutory minimum.

We may revoke a licence obtained fraudulently, or used in a way our acceptable use policy excludes. That is the only circumstance in which a paid licence stops working.

The inpainting model is MI-GAN, released under the MIT licence, and is fetched from a public content network along with the runtime that executes it. Their availability is not within our control.

FrameCleaner is operated by FrameCleaner (FrameCleaner Ltd.), 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY, USA. FrameCleaner Ltd. is registered in the State of Wyoming, USA.

We may update these terms; the date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and nothing here removes any right you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
